Privacy Policy — granitepointretirement.com (DRAFT v1.0)
Effective date: [DATE] · Who we are: [LLC LEGAL NAME] d/b/a Granite Point Retirement, [BUSINESS MAILING ADDRESS], [CONTACT EMAIL] ("Granite Point," "we," "us").
1. What this covers
This policy describes how we collect, use, share, and retain information when you visit granitepointretirement.com, take the Retirement Protection Checkup, or communicate with us by phone, text, or email.
2. Information we collect
- Contact information you provide: name, mobile number, email address.
- Checkup responses you provide: retirement stage, primary concern, where your retirement money is held, state of residence, timeline, and a self-selected savings range. You may select "Prefer not to say" for the savings range.
- Consent records: when you give consent to be contacted, we record the date and time, your IP address, your browser/device information (user agent), the version of the consent language you agreed to, and the page URL.
- Communications: a log of messages we send you and messages you send us (including text-message replies such as STOP or HELP).
- Technical and usage data: pages viewed, quiz steps completed, approximate location from IP, device and browser type, and advertising click identifiers (such as a Facebook click ID) — collected via cookies and similar technologies (Section 5).
3. How we use information
- To generate and deliver your personalized Checkup result.
- To contact you — by phone, text message, and email — about retirement and annuity options, if you have given consent. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
- To connect you with a licensed insurance agent in your state and to schedule appointments you request.
- To operate, measure, and improve the site and our advertising (analytics and ad-measurement, Section 5).
- To honor opt-outs, maintain suppression lists, and meet legal and record-keeping obligations.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not resell leads. Your information goes to one licensed insurance agent — not to call centers or lead brokers. We share information only with:
- Service providers (processors) who help us run the business: website hosting (Vercel), database (Airtable), text messaging (Twilio), email delivery (Resend), scheduling (Cal.com), workflow automation (n8n), analytics (Google Analytics), and advertising measurement (Meta). Each receives only what its function requires.
- The licensed insurance agent who handles your review and any subsequent insurance business, and the insurance organizations involved in servicing an application you choose to submit.
- Authorities or parties when legally required (e.g., subpoena, regulatory request) or to protect rights and safety.
5. Cookies, analytics, and advertising measurement
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors move through the site (page views and quiz-step events). We use the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API to measure advertising; where used, identifiers such as email or phone are hashed before transmission, and we do not send your savings range, score, or other financial attributes to advertising platforms. You can limit cookies through your browser settings; industry opt-outs are available at aboutads.info/choices.
6. Text messages, calls, and email — your choices
- Text: reply STOP at any time to stop texts (also honored: QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE, OPT OUT). Reply HELP for help. Msg & data rates may apply.
- Email: every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
- Calls: ask us to stop calling at any time, or email [CONTACT EMAIL].
Opt-outs are processed promptly and recorded on a suppression list so they stick.
7. Retention
Consent records and communication logs are retained for at least four (4) years. Advertising materials are archived for three to five (3–5) years. Other information is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above or as law requires.
8. Your rights and requests
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing [CONTACT EMAIL]. We honor requests unless a record must be kept by law (for example, consent and suppression records). We respond within a reasonable time and may verify your identity first.
9. Security, children, and scope notes
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards; no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. The site is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. The site is intended for U.S. residents; we currently work with residents of the states listed in the Checkup.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy; the effective date above changes when we do, and material changes are posted on this page. Questions or requests: [CONTACT EMAIL] or [BUSINESS MAILING ADDRESS].
